Two composers, three musicians and plenty of sculptures. Join us for a very special evening at SMK filled with art, words and classical music.

On the occasion of this spring’s major exhibition, Alberto Giacometti – What Meets the Eye, we invite you to a series of concerts that translate the artist’s rapidly executed lines and long-limbed human figures into sound and music. This evening, the award-winning ensemble Trio Ismena graces the museum’s big stage, performing works created especially for the exhibition by the composers My Beautiful Decay 1973 (Carsten Bo Eriksen) and Ejnar Kanding.

Gain new perspectives on Giacometti’s fascinating sculptures as the sounds of classical, acoustic instruments come together in an electronic soundscape, letting you see the distinctive works in a new light.

Trio Ismena comprises Monika Malmquist on violin, Ida Nørholm on cello and Christine Raft on piano.
